Crowne Pointe Theatre hopes to see you at the movies

When Crowne Pointe Theatre opened in 2018, we knew we were becoming part of a community on the rise. Since then, the tidal wave of growth and development in this region has only made that picture more high-definition.

In my estimation, no thriving community is truly complete without a movie theater. Economic development in a community is great, as it empowers individuals to move to the community for gainful employment and to build a better life.

But as we all know, life can be stressful. That is why the cinema experience is so important: It allows people to escape their day-to-day struggles, annoyances and hang-ups for a while and to immerse themselves in the magic of the big screen.

Crowne Pointe Theatre is more than a brick and mortar building with screens and seats. We make popcorn, sell tickets and play movies. Those are things we do but are not what we are.

We are where grandparents take their 3-year-old grandson to a movie. We are the first date of a couple who goes on to fall in love and marry. We are a dad taking his daughter on a father-and-daughter trip to see “Frozen” and a mom getting away for a Girl’s Night Out.

We hope to create so many wonderful memories and smiles that 30 years from now when a developer wants to tear us down the community rises to save the theatre. You can’t create those memories at home streaming a movie.

At Crowne Pointe Theatre, we are committed to providing the best movie-going experience we can. Our nine-screen theatre is equipped with cutting-edge technology and customer-preferred amenities, including self-serve ticketing and concessions, leather recliners and reserved seating for your comfort.

We know you have budgets. We keep our pricing more affordable than other theatres. In addition to our theatre offerings and concessions, we also have a party room available for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, company outings or any other special occasion.

We believe you help yourself when you help others. Being an active part of this community and giving back is incredibly important to us.

We’ve hosted 75 Classic Movie events to date, raising money for local nonprofits, school initiatives and charities. Additionally, through our discount fundraising cards program, we’ve raised over $250,000 for various community causes since we opened in 2018.

When you step through our doors, you’ll notice our Walk of Fame, which honors the institutions that help define Hardin County and shape life in this vibrant community. This is significant because at Crowne Pointe Theatre, we don’t just view ourselves as another entertainment option, we see ourselves as a part of a growing group of things to do that contribute to this thriving community we are proud to call home.

We hope to see you at the movies.
