“I wanted to do something with a career that would make a difference, and it became clear that the community college was a way to make that happen. When I left high school, I was not a good student. It wasn’t until I enrolled at Southeast Community College that I really learned the value of education. They invested a lot of time in me and gave me the structure and support I needed. Having the chance to do this same work at ECTC is a dream come true! This is an exciting time to be part of the ECTC team as we help drive the future growth of our region.” 

Fun fact: Dr. Pate was a state champion adventure racer who competed at the USARA Nationals.
